So I finally decided to chop my long hair off. I booked my appointment for my haircut at Luce Hair Salon in Kingston, ON. How did this come about? Well a few weeks ago I was doing a Branding photoshoot and Sarah who was my hairstylist kind of sparked the thought within me. For years I have always loved seeing Lob haircuts and Bobs on celebrities. For some reason I just never truly considered it for myself.
The more I got to thinking about it, I realized how often I am simply not doing my hair because I am unhappy with it. Years ago I had to take Methotrexate, which is Chemotherapy in pill form. Because of this, my hair changed significantly and became frizzy, crispy, fine and brittle. Nothing I have done in the past few years have helped. The before photos pictured below you will see my tired curls, and how fried they look. I don’t even use heat on my hair, can you believe that?
So after much consideration, in a short amount of time- I knew I was in. I realized chopping off the bun that weighs me down every single day would be freeing. I want to do my hair, but its just too much work at this length. So we chopped at least half of my hair off!
I am absolutely in LOVE with this. Up next I’ll be getting a Keratin treatment (I’ll do before & after posts too!!) in order to repair the hair, and then I’ll be letting it rest and grow until the summer. I’m looking forward to enjoying this hair length and what I can do with it. Last night I slept with my hair down for the first time in my life. It was so nice and to not have constant tugging was amazing. I can see how this will help relieve some of my tension migraines!
Thank you so much to Erica D at Luce hair salon in the West End. Be sure to go book your hair transformation with her, you won’t be disappointed. Another note- I was able to get this haircut FREE of charge because of their stamp system. After 5 haircuts you get one free and this happened to be my free one which really made the experience that much more enjoyable.
